Gott’s Roadside is the perfect pick-me-up after a couple hours worth of wine tasting through Napa Valley (or perhaps the exact carb-filled meal you need to soak up all that alcohol). Whether you are in the Valley for the wine or as a designated driver, Gott’s burgers are not to be missed!
The fish tacos here are the best I’ve ever had. They are stuffed with freshly grilled mahi mahi, which have a mild flavor so the spicy taco marinade really came through as a nice little kick. The other ingredients really brought out the Mexican origins of fish tacos with slaw, salsa and a smooth jalapeno cilantro sour cream. Plus, they use some traditional, soft corn tortillas, which are always an authentic touch.
To wash down the tacos, Gott’s serves a number of milkshakes. I had a special blueberry milkshake. If you’ve ever had blueberry crumble, this milkshake is the refreshingly cold and liquid form of the comforting dessert.
And finally, the green chili cheeseburger. A toasted egg bun hugs a juicy burger accompanied by jack cheese, lettuce, grilled onions, salsa verde and charred jalapeno mayo to give each bite a spicy surprise at the end. We were so excited to dig into this burger that we didn’t even notice a third party on top sharing it with us… until I uploaded the photo onto my laptop for a closer look!
- Stop by Gott’s for a fulfilling meal.
- Sit in the shade – it gets really hot.
- Be patient while waiting for your food. The wait is worth it!
